A historical landmark, opened in 1852, the McLure House has been a mainstay of the city of Wheeling, WV. Throughout the last century, various iterations of the building have housed U.S. Presidents, dignitaries, as well as movie and Broadway stars. Having survived world wars, economic collapses, and global pandemics, the McLure still welcomes guests with a renewed spirit of hospitality and growth.
Over nearly 170-years, the McLure House has been under the care of many owners. Most recently purchased by Roxby Development in 2021, the hotel and apartments are undergoing a four-phase renovation. The current stage of renovation focuses on updating and modernizing guestrooms, adding amenities, while preserving the integrity of the building's notable history. The future looks bright in downtown Wheeling.
